Our professional engineers provide expert investigations, analysis and reporting to assist claims professionals and legal counsel in determining the cause of a loss. They utilize their education, training and experience, a systematic approach, and the application of the scientific method to analyze an incident. They investigate a variety of incidents involving residential, commercial and industrial mechanical equipment.

Water losses
Carbon monoxide incidents
Failures of agricultural equipment, consumer products and commercial vehicles
Injuries and fatalities involving mechanical equipment
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment failures
Computer numeric controlled (CNC) machinery fires

We lead and participate in investigations which often require:

Coordinating with insurance professionals and legal counsel
Conducting and participating in incident scene examinations
Collaborating with technical disciplines such as origin and cause investigators, electrical engineers, materials engineers and fire protection engineers
Personal protective equipment (PPE) having obtained 40 hour HAZWOPER training
Specialized equipment at scene investigations or in our facility
Vehicle and trailer to transport retained items to storage
Artifact storage and laboratory at our on-site facility
Laboratory examination and testing
Developing written protocols, test procedures and design of test fixtures
Obtaining and documenting background information and research
Analyzing incidents through the application of the scientific method
Preparing technical reports and presenting findings to clients
Creating 2D and 3D computer aided design (CAD) models and drawings
Providing expert witness deposition and courtroom testimony
